It’s one of our favourite times of year, the festive season. There is such a great vibe around town – people out enjoying Christmas parties and end of year functions, preparing for big New Years Celebrations and looking forward to some time away from a busy year, recharging for 2014.
2013 has been a great year for Visual Culture, working on many inspiring, informative and fun productions. We made the move to the Melbourne CBD in April, which has been a win/win for us and our clients, while also attracting new business. We haven’t been strangers to travelling either, filming far and wide throughout Australia including Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and regional Victoria. Not to mention providing production services for some of our London based clients.
So now it’s time to share with you just some of the wide variety of projects we’ve been a part of…
CGU Insurance
We’ve been working with CGU now since 2010, and this year that relationship grew significantly. In 2013 alone, we have produced over 40 videos for CGU. With a staff of around 4000 and offices all over Australia, video has become an essential part of their communication strategies. There have been productions for the various departments throughout the business, showcasing major achievements, new products and services and key messages to staff and shareholders. It’s been a really enjoyable year working with a number of great people at CGU.
Deepend
Like CGU, we have been working with digital agency Deepend since 2010. As part of Deepend’s website design, development and interactivity for their clients, Visual Culture has helped by producing video content. Clients include beyondblue, the Victorian Government, Intuit and The National Stroke Foundation. From video interviews to motion graphics, there has been a wide scope of production services we have provided. We look forward to continuing our strengthening relationship with Deepend in the new year.
Geelong Cats Football Club
In June this year, Geelong’s Simonds Stadium hosted it’s first ever night match between the Cats and the Gold Coast Suns. It was a historic moment for the town of Geelong as it marked the completion of the new Players Stand and the installation of 4 large light towers. Now when you drive into Geelong from Melbourne, these massive light towers immediately grab your attention. Back in 2012, we installed a time-lapse system capturing the construction. Almost 18 months later, the transformation was complete. Eastern Golf Club have since been in touch with us to use a similar system to capture the 2 year construction of their new golf course in Yering. We will keep you updated on that project as well.
Elite Caravans
There have been a few fun projects with the team from Elite Caravans – a short film, a weekend away capturing the off-road van “Dirty Harry”, even a musical for their “Luxury Class” range. The projects have allowed writer/director Jim Shomos’ creativity to run wild, leading to many engaged viewers and public response via social media. What concepts will Elite come up with in the new year? One thing is certain, the videos are bound to keep entertaining viewers.
And the list goes on…
Instructional videos for Edlyn Foods, a funky promotional video for Wall Creations, launch videos for Leighton and even post production services for the TV show What’s Up Downunder, just to name a few.
So if you have any plans or ideas for video production in 2014, be sure to get in touch with us here at Visual Culture, we would love to have a chat about how we can help.
